Spin or Tricks was founded in 2011 by Alexandra Gerland and Amandine Védrine.

 

In 2012, the Studio in the heart of downtown Lyon finally opened: A “Glamour Academy dedicated to Pole Dance, Chair Dance, Aerial Hoop and Burlesque”.

It is the first school dedicated to Pole Dance in Lyon offering levels and a range of complementary courses related to the discipline.

 

Spin or Tricks teaches a large female clientele, prioritizing the quality of their knowledge over quantity.

Alexandra and Amandine teach with their hearts and are very passionate. Always full of desires and originality, they open Aerial Hoop classes and Chair Dance classes with Alexandra's sister, Bridget.

 

In 2014, the school experienced a major boom thanks to Alexandra Gerland who won the World Champion medal in 2014 in London in her category. The first and only French woman to date to hold a World Champion medal in Pole Dance.

 

The same year, Alexandra and Amandine created a Pole Dance training course in Lyon which proved to be a great success because they trained their first teachers who would later join the studio's teaching team. Then, year after year, other teachers, some of whom in turn created schools in the region.

Spin Or Tricks will also feature Aerial Hoop and Chair Dance training.

 

In 2020, the Spin Or Tricks & Chair Follies studios merged to become a single school, retaining their premises, thus offering a wide range of Pole Dance, Aerial Hoop, Chair Dance, Yoga classes...
